The countess flew away today, back into battle back to fight for our beautiful future, in the land we love, the land we call home, the place of our hearts, the summer of our love. We began not there but here in the electrosphere, much like this with words on screens, thousands of kilometers away.
We honeymooned here, traversed canals to many to count, we wove through Venice, she wove through us. Such a place, every saccadic blink, a trove of sights addressed our eye’s. Casting us back in time, walking and boating and imagining the past, her ages that have eaten at brick and stone, a heavenly jewel cradled in a liquid mantel, our love bathed in this history.
